On Tuesday, Amazon announced launching its e-commerce website in Hindi language on Android and its mobile website, to target customers from small cites in India.
Amazon india says that customers can now read detailed,product information, get deals and discounts, order orders, pay for your order, manage your account information and many more services in Hindi language.
The Hindi version of Amazon.in will have the same features available on the English website. The desktop version will be available soon.The Android app and mobile website of Amazon India now has a new language option in the left menu bar. No need to update the app, It will automatically updates with new language options through server.Search and delivery address will be available in English only because Amazon will develop this platform and launch more features in the coming months.
Amazon.in is not a separate app in Hindi but is integrated within its main app. To use the service in Hindi, users have to change the language under the settings menu. They can simply tap the menu button on the left corner of the home page, scroll down and tap on 'English' language and select Hindi as the preferred language. Users can always change language preference in English.Amazon plans to bring more languages to its website
Once If you choose the preferred language, it will be saved and will be remembered for future trips too. Any user can change their language at any time. The iOS app for the PC and the Amazon.in site will get a new features soon . Amazon said that it will introduce other Indian languages in the future, and also said that it started with Hindi because most of the customers in india approximately 50 percent of the customers who prefer to shop in any language other than English.
If the Hindi version of its site and application is successful, then Amazon is planning to add alternatives to shopping in other major Indian languages such as Bengali, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu.
